Let's ride this out!
You’re most likely reading this message indoors. We invite you to step outside, breathe in the fresh air, and take a ride to clear your mind.
Despite necessary social distancing parameters, biking is a unique and safe form of solo exercise and recreation. We encourage you to give it a try.
Safety is our priority.
Our bikes are part of a shared system with shared surfaces, so we are taking precautions to reduce the spread of the virus including:
- All EBS bikes will be disinfected based on the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines frequently throughout each day.
- All EBS employees have been educated on proper personal hygiene practices as recommended by the CDC.
- All EBS employees will wear sterile gloves and use disinfectant products when in contact with any bikes, parts, and maintenance equipment.
- All EBS employees will use antibacterial soap to wash their hands and disinfect all equipment surfaces frequently throughout each day.
You also play a big part by protecting yourself.
Getting exercise and fresh air are essential to your own personal health and wellness, while proactively sanitizing frequently touched surfaces are another important step to stop the spread of the virus. We recommend the following precautions:
We encourage you to do your part and BYOW (Bring Your Own Wipe) to sanitize handles, screens and locks before check-out
Use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol before and after riding
Washing your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds after riding
Observe the minimum recommended social distancing of six feet from other people
Do not ride if you are experiencing any symptoms
