Anton Mack, Executive Director

Anton Mack’s leadership of Explore Bike Share builds on more than two decades of experience leading, guiding, and innovating. Anton sought this opportunity to help create more equity, sustainability, and livability in a city close to his heart.

Over the course of his career, Anton has been driven by action and innovation bolstered by an overwhelming desire to support our community and achieve great success.

Anton was born and raised in Annapolis, MD, where his first job as a teenager was repairing and selling bikes at a neighborhood bike shop. He went to college at Johns Hopkins, continued his graduate studies at Harvard, and later completed an MBA at ESCP Europe in Paris. After 20 years in Los Angeles and a few years in Europe, Anton planted roots in Memphis.

Anton currently serves on the boards of Memphis River Parks Partnership, Indie Memphis, and the Downtown Memphis Commission’s Center City Development Corporation as well as its Anti-Blight and Retail Strategy committees. Mack is immediate past president of the South Main Association and, in 2018, founded Century House, a professional development center and European-style social club for business leaders and entrepreneurs.

In previous roles, Anton served as Assistant Dean for Admissions at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, Managing Director of Global Talent for worldwide operations at Paul Hastings law firm, and became an internationally-rated brevet judge for men’s gymnastics after a gymnastics career of his own.

Over the years, he has provided business and career advising services for a diverse clientele with a deep commitment to each individual’s personal and professional success. Anton has demonstrated expertise in designing highly organized management systems, cultivating networks of corporate and foundation donors, motivating and evaluating staff performance, and generating organizational growth with greater efficiencies.

Michael Sarna, Development Manager

Michael Sarna expands the reach and impact of Explore Bike Share through his passion for sustainable social systems and experience in creating, developing, and sustaining relationships with community members. Having seen firsthand the impact that bike share systems can have in other cities, Michael enthusiastically moves this platform forward using his fundraising and engagement skills and drive for the EBS mission.

Michael’s background includes managing and cultivating a multi-million-dollar portfolio for the third largest Bike MS ride in the country and leading teams of volunteers to execute national event operational plans, cultivate donors, and create unmatched donor experiences. He applies this knowledge and on-the-ground experience to help create a vision, develop and execute strategies, and organize staff and volunteer resources for Explore Bike Share.

Jon Pegg, Fleet Manager

Jon Pegg began buying, repairing, and overhauling bicycles shortly after college and quickly realized that cycling was his calling and passion. Before joining Explore Bike Share as Fleet Manager, he worked at the Shop Manager for our community partner Revolutions Bike Co-Op, gaining knowledge and experience in bicycle assessment, building, and repair as well as installing and maintaining bike stations.

Because of Revolutions’ educational mission, Jon’s role there built his aptitude to successfully and simultaneously manage a mechanic team, direct volunteers, teach community members, perform shop duties, and interact with retail customers – all vital elements of coordinating Explore Bike Share’s fleet.

As a native of Los Angeles who has spent more than two decades in Memphis, Jon has seen how riding a bicycle creates a community that grows a love for people, neighborhoods, and the outdoor spaces that shape our city, and he is excited to bring greater opportunities to see more in Memphis.
