Trey Moore, Executive Director

Trey Moore’s leadership of Explore Bike Share builds on more than two decades of non-profit experience with a focus on community health. A native Memphian and University of Memphis alumnus, Trey sought out this opportunity to help create more equity, sustainability, and livability in his hometown.

In previous roles, Trey has led voluntary health organizations and youth-serving agencies. Most recently as the Executive Director of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s Georgia Chapter, Trey was accountable for a $5 million budget, managing a high-achieving team of professionals and 40 volunteer board members.

Over the course of his non-profit career, Trey has excelled in managing strategic relationships and developing fundraising strategies through entrepreneurial approaches. He will work collaboratively with the Explore Bike Share board and key community leaders to establish priorities, set high expectations, execute strategy, and be accountable for the system’s results.

Sara Studdard, Community Engagement
& Marketing Director

Sara Studdard has been part of Explore Bike Share since its research phase and now serves as our Community Engagement & Marketing Director. In this role, she expands on the civic-focused process that initially determined the feasibility of bike share in Memphis.

As EBS moved from concept to reality, Sara served as Project Manager in her position at DCA and President of Explore Bike Share’s Board of Directors. She spent three years becoming expert in global models for bike share, from system planning to launch to operations, and led the community input campaign to assure that Memphians guided the design of the system. During this period, she also managed marketing communications projects for DCA clients.

Prior to her work with EBS, Sara demonstrated her commitment to further Memphis’ growth during nine years of experience with other grassroots organizations and worked with a variety of stakeholders including Mid-South farmers, neighborhood groups, non-profit leaders, corporate presidents, national voices on equity, and creative placemaking advocates.

Denise Parnell, Community Engagement
Manager

Denise Parnell supports Explore Bike Share’s mission by developing programming for the system’s ridership and creating strategies for community engagement. Working most recently as an online community ambassador, her experience within the fields of academia, fitness, and social media has had a unified focus on building engagement and local investment.

As Community Engagement Manager, Denise will build on her foundation of marketing and communications, project management, event coordination, and civic outreach. Her background in developing social media strategies, networking opportunities, and constructive partnerships will help Explore Bike Share reach its goal of serving every facet of Memphis’ population.

A graduate of the University of Memphis, Denise is passionate about serving the city as well as traveling to gather inspiration for our growth. She is excited to be part of this brand-new system and enthusiastic about creating authentic relationships with the residents, stakeholders, and organizations both within the Explore Bike Share service area and beyond.

Jon Pegg, Fleet Manager

Jon Pegg began buying, repairing, and overhauling bicycles shortly after college and quickly realized that cycling was his calling and passion. Before joining Explore Bike Share as Fleet Manager, he worked at the Shop Manager for our community partner Revolutions Bike Co-Op, gaining knowledge and experience in bicycle assessment, building, and repair as well as installing and maintaining bike stations.

Because of Revolutions’ educational mission, Jon’s role there built his aptitude to successfully and simultaneously manage a mechanic team, direct volunteers, teach community members, perform shop duties, and interact with retail customers – all vital elements of coordinating Explore Bike Share’s fleet.

As a native of Los Angeles who has spent more than two decades in Memphis, Jon has seen how riding a bicycle creates a community that grows a love for people, neighborhoods, and the outdoor spaces that shape our city, and he is excited to bring greater opportunities to see more in Memphis.
